CHARCOAL TEETH WHITENING….
Okay, so I decided to try out teeth whitening with activated charcoal! I haven’t really used any teeth whitening products before so I wasn’t really sure what to expect. Let me start by saying charcoal teeth whitening can get messy, you want to have your cup of water prepared for the rinsing. My product of choice was Douglas & Co, they have organic activated charcoal and it comes with a soft bamboo toothbrush – trust me you want to use a different toothbrush and a soft bristle is great because the charcoal itself is abrasive.
Firstly, you want to wet your bamboo toothbrush and then dip it into the charcoal so the powder covers the brush, I shook my brush before dipping it the first time and the brush wasn’t really wet enough, so wet then dip straight away.
Next, brush your teeth for 3 minutes using a swirling motion across all of your teeth, at this stage don’t freak out about all the black, it does wash away – this is when you’re going to love yourself for getting that water cup organised… I would highly recommend doing this over a sink
Rinse. Keep rinsing until the water isn’t black.
Smile. That’s right, flash those pearly whites all over the place.
I have to say your teeth definitely feel smoother and noticeably whiter, I have been using it every second day at night but Douglas & Co recommend once or twice a day. If you want to check it out for yourself I got the Organic Charcoal Powder which is $44.95 and I imagine would last a lifetime.
